Our Activities: B)Vocational Training - at rural centers

Vocational training for the disabled at rural center at Mograhat Block-I Mathurapur Block-I, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal. i. One vocational training center is being run by ETR for the disabled in building on one bigha of land, donated by one benevolent poor blind farmer.
The project was sanctioned by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India for 50 disabled persons consisting of 3 trades viz., Tailoring, Wool knitting and Bag Manufacturing under expert project staff. Disabled students generally come from remote villages of Mograhat block-I. There is a provision of monthly stipend which is paid to students for attending training center.

ii. Similar project for the disabled is also being run at Mathurapur, Dist. South 24 Parganas without any financial assistance from Government.

Vocational training - at urban center

There is also a unit of vocational training for the disabled at our Naktala center, Kolkata - 47, imparting training in Sophisticated trades like Computer training, Soft toys making etc. together with usual trade viz. Knitting, Tailoring and Bag manufacturing are being taught. These training schemes are run not by any financial assistance from any govt. bodies, but stipend is offered to the said trainees from of organisation's own meager resource. This project is facing problem due to financial crisis.

Vocational training for OBC living below the poverty line.

One vocational training center is being run at Mathurapur for poor women living below the poverty line. Our object is to impart vocational training of Jari Craft and Patch Work for the said beneficiaries of 100 poor women as income generating project to uplift them from their present financial situation.

Till date we did not receive any financial assistance from any source. in spite of acute fund constraint ETR for the Disabled has been carrying out the project with honest sincere endeavour.

Besides this Jari Craft, Tailoring, Wool knitting and Bag Manufacturing training are also given to poor and backward classes of women at Mograhat block-I and also at Kolkata urban center without any

financial assistance from any Govt.. Help from any source will be a great boost for the ETRD . The above mentioned vocational training projects are being organized for upliftment and mainstreaming of the disabled in the society. Due to insufficient funds We confront severe hardships to mobilize the project as per dream and policies of this organisation.
